Question Looking for Answers

Currently I am running a dual monitor setup, within that i have one hooked up to my 1660 Super through DisplayPort and the Other HDMI. The question I have is should I bite the bullet and purchase a DisplayPort to HDMI splitter and just run my dual setup through that or just stick with what i have currently? I prefer to play my games in extended display so I am just wondering if going that route would fair better than what I have going on? Thank you for your answers in advance.

It would seem to me that running your video signal through a splitter is only going to allow for duplicated screen, if it works at all.

So I did some reading and using HDMI splitter only duplicates or clones it but using Display port to HDMI splitter allows for extension
