Nvidia GTX970 FTW! The GTX970 offers great performance for an affordable price (~$320 USD), and offers the capability to support a GSYNC monitor should you decide to get one in the future. And yes, you will definitely need to upgrade that 450W power supply. There are plenty of high quality power supplies available for you to stay within your budget. Corsair, Seasonic, EVGA, XFX, etc all make great power supplies that performance extremely well and offer great factory warranties. The minimum power supply rating I would recommend is 650W Gold efficiency certified. This will allow for a bit of headroom should you decide to overclock your CPU or GPU, or add other components in the future. Don't believe the 'bad poop' someone might tell you; the newest generation power supplies run extremely efficient. My Corsair AX1500i power supply uses about 175W at idle (see the specs in my signature below), so the myth of higher rated power supply units using more power for no reason is totally bogus.
