Looking for Best MotherBoard for use with Intel i7-4790 in tandem with MSI GTX 970 gaming 4G

I am looking for a motherboard. I am currently feeling set on the Intel i7-4790 CPU as well as the MSI GTX 970 gaming 4G GPU.
Price is less of an issue, so I was hoping for the best option out there.
I have heard good things about the Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150, as well as the Asus MAXIMUS for use with the Intel i7-4790 but I am not sure if they would be the penultimate best choice for my combination.
Any assistance would certainly be appreciated.

Hi Jeffrey, was there a specific reason you wanted the Z97 motherboard vs. the H97. Your processor you chose is locked and can not be over clocked. Unless you plan to run SLI/Crossfire, the H97 will give you a better match for the money.

Well at least you know its there.
My CPU can't overclock and I have a z97 motherboard. But at least you know the feature is there for the future
It runs perfect and the board may last longer as I'm not pushing it to its limits.
