looking for case with optical drive space

Solution
Yes they will. For a case to work with an optical dive it just needs a 5.25 external bay. The Cooler Master N400 has two external 5.25 bays, and one external 3.5 bay. The Cooler Master Haf 912 has three external 5.23 bays and one external 3.5 bay.

You can find cheaper ones that have 5.25 bays for optical drives, but these two are well made. And having worked with the Haf 912 a few times I highly recommend it for a good basic case that's well made and easy to work in.
Theres a ton out there. Build quality starts getting decent around the $50-$60, below $50 and its pretty crap unless its a good case on sale.

Case in point, this case is normally $60 but had a $20 rebate (god I'm sorry for that pun, I couldn't help it)

I personally really like the HAF series as well, this one comes in at $60
