Looking for CPU Cooler to Clear Corsair Vengeance RAM

Basically I need to replace my CPU cooler, and I need a cooler that can clear my super-tall RAM.

As you can see it is rather obnoxious, and I had to return my R1 Universal since it would not clear it. So, is there a CPU cooler of good quality that can clear RAM this tall? Or should I be looking to buy new RAM in addition to a new cooler?

And before anyone mentions the R1 Universal, stop. I just struggled with that thing for an hour, which is why I'm here. It does NOT clear the Vengeance RAM.

What part of the cooler was hitting the RAM, the fan? If so, did you try sliding the fan assembly up in the heatsink slot?

I would suggest one of the redesigned s variants from Noctua.
They have been redesigned to clear tall heat spreaders and perhaps more importantly to be offset a bit so that they do not impact graphics cards with backplates in the first pcie x16 slot.

It's a bit of a pain due to the height but depending which case you have a thermalright true spirit 140 power might be a good option. Performs like the nh-d14 without the clearance issues, runs $55 on amazon right now. The 171mm height is a drawback though if the case isn't wide enough.
