So I have been looking around for a quality CPU cooler. At first I was eyeing the All-in-one watercoolers by Corsair, but after a while I decided to go with air cooling because I had no intention of overclocking my CPU anyway. At the moment, I have a Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO and I want to upgrade. I was looking at a be quiet! Shadow Rock 2, but I was wondering if there was any more higher quality ones that I could have missed. Looking for air cooling only. Thanks for the help! Leave any questions if this is confusing. Price range: Less than $200. :)

Honestly, even for its relatively low price, the Hyper 212 is a quality cooler. It will cool anything up to 185w and at stock clock, your CPU is nowhere near that unless you have an AMD 9 series cpu.

You could move up to the larger CPU coolers, like CoolerMaster V8 GT, Noctua NH-D14, Xigmatek Dark Knight SD1283 , Phanteks PH-TC14PE, all of which will put you @ 12-16*C over ambient, at max fan speeds and noise.

It would be fine to switch fans. Just make sure that the fans you use are "High Static Pressure" and not "High Air Flow".

I actually love the Phanteks one. Do you happen to know the RAM clearing? Like How much space do I have for my RAM?
