I think that what @slingsrat implies is that you can't expect for you to be able to boot to Windows properly with an empty drive. You either have to clone the OS (Operating System, which is Windows in your case) from the old HDD, or make a fresh install of Windows to your new drive. If you have a product key for your version of the OS, you could download it from Microsoft's website, create a bootable media (DVD/USB) and install it - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool. The other way is to get a retail copy of Windows if you don't have one and install it.
Hey there, tibou142.

There shouldn't be any specific drivers for an internal drive to work. Was this an SSD or an HDD? Make sure that you have connected it properly and have seated the cables all the way into the ports and connectors. Check if the drive is recognized by the BIOS/UEFI of the computer. Make sure that it spins up when you power on the laptop.
You should try the drive with a different computer either externally (via a docking station, or SATA to USB adapter, or an external enclosure), or internally via a standard SATA connection, to see if the same thing happens.

Please let me know how everything goes.

So you're saying you put a brand new blank harddisk in your computer and windows did not run?
