Hello there!

This will be my first posting here. Glad that you are here, helped a lot already :)

My grandpa has moved in our house. He has strong hearing disabilities, so we want his headphones to work at the same time we are using our system which is connected via toslink connection.

We have a LG 49UJ7509 with optical und a very wobbly aux output. It's not possible to use them both at the same time. The TV has no HDMI output in any way.

Do you know an extractor or device which will accept optical input and make possible the use of digital (optical or coax) and analog output at the same time? Or any other workaround?

If not, we will soon be deaf, too :-/

Thank you very much,
Simsabrumm

There are toslink splitters -- https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Splitter-RAWAUX-Converter-Connector/dp/B09P5ZWKXR/
Then a headphone amp with toslink in -- https://www.amazon.com/Fosi-Audio-Headphone-Digital-Analog/dp/B07VDQQY95/

Hello kanewolf.

That worked perfectly, thank you very much for that combination. For less then 30€ that was a quite cheap solution, too.

Best,
