Looking for Fan/Heatsink Information on AMD 6 Core CPU

I've long needed a new heat sink for my CPU. It's loud and old, and all of the reviews on the product say the same. I know I should get a new one, although, I'm not really sure what I'm doing and need help on any recommendations and tips you have on replacing a heat sink. Any information would be appreciated.

Aftermarket heat sinks are more dependent on the case you have and the RAM rather than the CPU. The case, because that is what limits the height. The RAM because that can cause interference if it is tall.

I have a MASSIVE tower case. Every person who has seen it says it's one of the biggest they have seen, so I don't believe the space inside the case is an issue. Everything is very, very spread out.
