Total: $910

Decided to spend more than I planned but I feel like this is the best price/performance PC I can afford. There are a few other items in my cart that gives me this total so if I didn't count them the total would be a bit lower, but I need them. I decided on the 560 over the 460 because from what I gathered it was worth the extra $50 and on top of that it comes with a $50 game, batman arkham city, planned on getting that anyways 😛 Will this PSU power this PC fine? You should be ok with the 650W PSU.

You will not need a network adapter, unless you need a wireless network adapter for some reason.

I'd switch your graphics over to an AMD 6870, for 10 dollars more you're going to get a lot more performance. Might lose a little tessellation capability but at that level its not an awful lot.

I also feel like you're throwing away money on you're memory. You don't have good enough hardware for good gaming memory to matter. Get the cheapest memory you can find and try to get a better GPU or CPU. The difference between lower memory and that is about 15 dollars... but a 6950 is only about 40 dollars more then a 6870, that puts it in your price range.

It's only $28 and I can't find anything that matches the price/quality for 4 gigs. With the rebate the 460 is $130 and the lowest 6870 is $150 with a rebate. not a big dif in price but is there that big of a difference between the two cards? I've always preferred Nvidia over Radeon but if there is that big of a difference in the two cards then I will definitely consider it. the 6950 is way out of my price range, its $100 more if not more than that, If I were going to spend $100 more I'd buy a 560 TI but I don't see myself shelling that much more than I have now.

Alright another question, if I were able to get some extra funds, would you upgrade the CPU or the GPU in this build? Say either the i3 to an i5 2500k or the gtx 460 to a gtx 560 ti. also more thoughts on the build as-is would be nice!

Updated my original post. Decided to do an I5 2500K Over the i3, price/performance and longevity wise I think it made sense. The GTX 560 I believe pays for itself over the GTX 460. I also upped the RAM from 4 gigs to 8 gigs.

The top MSI card is a gtx 560ti and the bottom MSI card is a gtx 560. A 500w - 550w will run a single card.

Also I would rather have 2 x 2GB of 1600 RAM vs 8GB of 1333 RAM if it came down to finances/budget.
