Looking for a set of 2x 8gb memory. I have narrowed it down between

Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) CML16GX3M2A1600C10 (Although it is not on the compatibility list from either corsair or asrock)

or

DDR3-1866 PC3 14900 16GB(8GB x 2) F3-1866C10D-16GSR (Which is not on the QVL from asrock, but is listed as compatible on the gskill website.)

What do you guys think? Will both work?

I have only ever purchased corsair, so I am leaning that way.. (its also a few bucks cheaper), but I just want to make sure I am picking memory that will work flawlessly with my board and processor (i7 3770k).

Edit: This build is for mainly games and light to moderate photoshop.

stick with the 1600mhz Ram for your intel CPU if you go to fast you can void the warranty of your CPU.

With that much RAM (16 gb) you could even just use the standard DDR3-1333mhz which is all you really need just make sure you get the lowest numbered CAS, CL-7 would be best. Most Ram is CL-9 and the cheep stuff is at CL-11.

Google this issue and you will go with one you know to be compatible. Most of us after some time are having problems posting with this Corsair Vengeance RAM and this MB. Why PCPartsPicker calls it compatible when it's not on the compatibility list (according to several other posters) is beyond me. Week three of dealing with error codes that all seem to point to memory issues.

which ever RAM you pick when installed the MOBO will see it and clock it at only 1333mhz, you will need to go into bios to select the speed you want to run at Ie... 1600 or 1866. Price should be the number one factor in choosing RAM since all of the major name brands are pretty much the same with good quality ram.
