looking for good cpu/apu for my board

my specs:
mobo- a88xm-a fm2+
gpu- msi gtx 970 (i think.. i know its a msi gtx but i forgot which one.. will look when i have a chance)
ram- 4x 4gb ddr4

im currently running an AMD APU with 2 cores and 3GHz. im looking for an upgrade to run Arma 3 without screen tearing and FPS drops but i do not want to replace my board. the only part im looking for is a cpu/apu so please do not recommend me changing anything else. my budget is under 200 USD. thank you for your time.

I know you said you only want to upgrade CPU, but for $200 you can upgrade out of that that fm2 hole.
The best CPU you can get is the x4 860k for your platform, which stil cant beat out a 4th gen i3.
Even getting a pentium g4560 and modern board and ram would get a better CPU now and an actual patch you could upgrade on in the future.

Even the 860k is going to bottleneck pretty hard with a GTX 970.
