Hi, I am looking for a GPU. Here is my scenario; I am building kinda like a home server all in one. Basically I'll run some minecraft servers (make fun of me all you want) and also like FTP on it for me just putting some backups on the mass storage drive. I want to get a GPU where I'll be able to check my server while being on the server without me having to get out my current laptop I am using.

Here is a link on what I am currently looking at: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp43747kr

Requirements that it needs for me:

*Low power consumption on idle
*Powerful enough to run minecraft and have terminal windows open
*Be able to run many hours a day (Not 24/7 though)
*Keep it cheap (Around $100, Don't bother saying anything above $150)

You don't need an extremely strong graphics card to run a Minecraft server. The real problem is if you have enough ram and an extremely good CPU. Although Minecraft is GPU base, running a server is primarily CPU based.

I do know that. Thats why I want a cheap graphics card, because I am putting hundreds of dollars into RAM and CPU.

How much RAM and what kind of CPU? The graphic card will be enough.
Also how many servers are you planning to run?

It doesn't matter how much RAM and what type of CPU I have. Just which graphics card do I need. I am going to put in 16 GB of RAM (HyperX), and a Xeon E3-1231
