Looking for good speakers and sub under 200

hey guys, so i'm looking to upgrade the speakers for my dorm room for next year. this year we got by with a crappy little ipod speaker ring but i'm looking for a set of speakers and sub that can really get loud. i really have no idea since there are so many choices out there and computers, not speakers, are my thing so i don't know a whole hell of a lot about sound systems and stuff. i'm looking to keep the total under 200 so any reasonably priced suggestions will be much appreciated. thanks in advance guys.
