I'm currently searching for a good wireless card as my router is in the kitchen and my room is quite far from it. Can anyone suggest a good card with strong and stable signal. Also which one is better between pci and pci express? I don't want to spend more than $40 for the card. Thanks

To be honest with you, you don't HAVE to get a card. If you have USB3.0 ports on your computer, getting a wireless dongle to plug into one of those would work just as well. But either way, for PCIe cards and dongles for wireless internet, I recommend anything Netgear/Linksys/TrendNET.

One other thing, too. Your router is in the kitchen, but do you have it in the corner? If so, you might want to consider moving it to a different location within the kitchen so it can broadcast it's signal better. Preferably towards the middle of the room, away from walls and microwaves.
