You don't need an i5 4690k for those games so a few dollars saved there.

The 970 and 290x are equally similar, although, the 970 is a little better because of less power draw and heat output

RAM is one of those things where it takes time to look for it. GSkill is what I go by. I listed some good 8 gig kit of GSkill with cas 9.

But Ive heard all the rage is the Trident X or os that just hype? As well as wouldnt Trident x being 2400mhz and CAS10 be faster than the 1600mhz CAS9. I was lookingat CAS8 but the math says the fhigher MHz with a little more CAS would be faster

I want the 4690k for future games. The extra $40 for a faster overclockable CPU is worth it to me if it gets me another year or two. And the 850w is a must for possible SLI down the road
