I want to build a gaming pc. My question is how much vram I need to play games at 8k?
I want to play assassin's creed unity, syndicate and upcoming assassin's creed empire at 8k with everything ultra and txaa, vsync on.

Well. I hope you are talking about 4k. If you are really talking about 8k which is not mainstream at all there is no card on earth that could play games maxed out on it. 4 titan x's couldn't do it.

going past 2 cards is a waste of money thanks to diminishing returns

you would have a hard time playing at 4k ultra with current tech

dual titan-x's( pascal) would let you play at 4k, but not ultra maxed out settings ~60 fps

settings WILL need to be tweaked to get playable

right now 8k is a pipe dream

You just don't get it. That is not possible at all period right now.

4K at max. 8k is not really available atm

You can't get SLI support for 5-way at the moment. Crossfire is the same I think.

Even if you could, the scaling is very poor beyond 2 cards and you simply won't get the performance you need.

People have tried running even just 3 Titan XP's in SLI and the games don't even work at all. Even games that support SLI.

To play at 8K with max settings and get 60fps, you would need multiple cards that won't exist for about 2 or 3 years.

Your best bet for now is 4K. With a pair of Titan Xp's or the new AMD Vega cards or the 1080Ti's when they are released.

We seem to be getting trolled. Or this person is to young to understand.

Hence why;

You are majorly wasting members time now.

You can make out 4k with a budget of $2000+

You can't max out 8k because none of the cards can handle it. Its not possible period.

If you can afford a stand alone 8k monitor I would advise to invest that money instead.

Then he could buy two of them with his money he invested by the time the proper parts come out to support such gaming! :pt1cable:
