Looking for help and advice on building my first pc. Also wondering if these parts are compatible.

So I'm thinking of building my own pc since it's Black Friday weekend and I compiled a list of parts for a budget build for light gaming and regular use. Was wondering if you could look over it and check the compatibility of the parts since I'm completely new to this. Also any recommendations for cheaper parts would be appreciated.

CPU:
AMD - Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor ($99.57 @ Amazon)

CPU Cooler:
Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.83 @ Amazon)
*Dont know if I need one or if the built-in Ryzen one would be enough

GPU:
None. Was planning on just using the Radeon Vega 8 Graphics that come with the CPU

Motherboard:
Asus - PRIME B450M-A/CSM Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($75.07 @ Amazon)
-or-
Something with built in wi-fi and bluetooth would be nice (recommendations please)

Memory:
Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($69.99 @ Amazon)

Storage:
Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($72.99 @ Amazon)
-or-
Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($44.95 @ Amazon)
*Don't know whether to go HDD or SDD

Case:
NZXT - Phantom 410 (Gunmetal/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Amazon)

Power Supply:
Corsair - CXM (2015) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($44.99 @ Amazon)

Wired Network Adapter:
TP-Link - TG-3468 PCI-Express x1 1000 Mbit/s Network Adapter ($16.45 @ Amazon)

Case Fan:
Corsair - CO-9050016-BLED 52.19 CFM 120mm Fans ($20.37 @ Amazon)

Total: $400-50

Is this a decent build for the price? How could it be improved but in the same price range?

Here, something like this would get you far better gaming performance at a price that isn't really that much higher...

PSU likely to be too low of a wattage. Tally up the power requirements of all components and add 40%.

There are online calculators for doing so. Try 2 or 3 and compare results. Some sites are better than others. Some people avoid such sites as the results can be skewed and misleading. No harm in using the calculators per se. Just be wary of the results.

Don't bother with an aftermarket cooler for a lower-end CPU like this. The included one should be fine. That $30 would be far better put toward other components in a budget build.

Also, the integrated Vega 8 graphics might be okay enough, but you would definitely want a dual-channel (2 stick) kit of memory if you decide to go that route, as a single stick would hurt performance. Personally, I would try to work a dedicated card in there though, since GPU prices have come back down and it doesn't cost a huge amount for something like an RX 570, which would be multiple times as fast.

SSDs can be good, but they'll mainly just help load times, and for a low budget build like this a regular hard drive might still be worth considering, at least fro the time being.

As for the wired network adapter, you shouldn't need one, as pretty much every motherboard these days should come with gigabit wired networking built-in.

I doubt a $20 case fan is needed either. It sounds like that case comes with enough fans already.

It does rely on some mail-in rebates to get some of those prices. You could maybe shave the price down by another $10 or so by going with a 2x4GB kit of DDR4-2666 ram if you absolutely had to. In any case, the RX 570 would be much faster than the integrated graphics, allowing for good frame rates in pretty much all current games at 1080p with fairly high settings. I would say that it's probably worth spending a little more to work a dedicated card into the build like that.

Personally, I'm not so sure SSHDs are really worth it for a desktop build on a limited budget. Some of the lowest-priced models can in certain situations be a bit slower than a regular 7200 RPM desktop drive. If the SSHD is a 5400 RPM 2.5 inch model, then it will have somewhat lower performance for things not stored in its cache.

And when you're looking at the 3.5 inch, 7200 RPM models, their prices tend to be similar to what you can now get a good 500GB SSD for, which will be more reliably fast, albeit without as much capacity. Looking at PCPartPicker, you can currently get a 500GB Crucial MX500 for $65, which performs right on par with an 860 Evo...

Or if you need more bulk storage, as far as regular hard drives go, I see Newegg currently has a 1TB 7200RPM Seagate drive for $40 after promo code, or 2TB for $55, though those promotions end in the next day or two...
