I am trying to get the audio speakers to work on this TV screen.It is VGA and HDMI compatible.

Use the HDMI cable, and the audio should just work.

If not, Open the Control Panel, then open Sound. Select the TV as the playback device, set it to default, and then click on apply.

That is what i did with my second a temped.I never really used the TV speaker option be for i mainly used my main 600 watt speakers.And i need new ones.
