[SOLVED] Looking for help on a new Computer build

I am currently looking to upgrade my gaming computer/work computer from a couple years ago. It's been a while since I looked into a new build, but here is what I am looking for:

Budget - $2500
Currency - USD
I plan on using it for Microsoft Flight Simulator and also work related items. I currently run 2 displays being a 27" 4k monitor and a 38" 4k ultra wide 160 hertz display, I might want to go to dual ultrawide displays in the future, so I need something to be able to power those displays.

Prices of gpu's are crazy right now,and at 4k,you will need a really beefy gpu.

Will GPU's really drop that much in price by April? I've been putting this build off since Covid started and I'm second guessing when prices will drop.

5950X is way too overkill for gaming.
Games dont utilize more than 6 cores at max,what do you need 16 for?
The most i would be going is the 5800X,8 cores and 16threads is more than enough for both gaming and workstation use.
Motherboard is also a requirement which you cant cheap out on with this cpu which requires solid VRM's for 5800X and needs to be solid overall.
32GB is also overkill for gaming.
A nice 16gb 3600mhz cl16 2x8gb is enough.
BUTTTTTT if you want to be extra future proof and want to have 50 google tabs open while msfs2020 is running,i'd say go for 32gb aswell,cuz why not with this budget.
"Any case" is not a good way of thinking.
Both 5000 series cpu's and 3000 series gpu's run really hot,you need a good balance between silence,space and cooling.
You cant put 2500$ worth of components in a 50$ case.
You would atleast need 3 fans at the front,2 at the top and 1 at the back.
Something like this atleast.
Storage is also a requirement.
I agree on PSU,a good psu like RMx 850 should do the job just fine.
I would also like to suggest a really good AIO like this one,or a absolute unit of a air cooler,like this one.
Even a 3090 would struggle to get 60fps with msfs2020 at 4k ultra settings,so a 3080 which can deliver 45fps is more than enough for that game in my opinion,not to mention its a lot cheaper than a 3090.Availability is questionable on where you live.

Something i have to mention is that any motheboard (that supports 5000 series ofc) requires a BIOS update to run them.
Luckily this board has something called Q Flash Plus,which lets you update the BIOS without CPU and RAM installed.Or what would be easier is to find someone with a 3rd gen ryzen cpu so you can update the bios,but its a challenge to find someone with a 3rd gen ryzen cpu.

What re the make/models of your current specs?
How much can you reuse?
I have played with fs2020, see my specs.
It looks to have a frame rate about 25fps with my GTX1080ti on a 4k monitor.
Do not be put off by low frame rates, it all looks smooth.
For best immersion, look at the 49" 5k monitors like this viotek unit:

I also noticed that fs2020 is the first game that had all 6 of my 5.0 cores running at 100%
But, I do not see that as a cpu limitation.
I think the game is simply using all available resources to prepare changes in terrain in advance.

On the cpu side, with your budget, I would wait for intel 11th gen to launch, presumably March.
Ultimately, single thread performance is what drives gaming. The leaked 19% IPC on top of a 5.3 clock has got to be the best around.

On graphics, good luck in finding a new card at anywhere near MSRP, if you can find one at all.
Plan on using your current card for some time.

thank you for the quick run down on a PC build. I can see finding a GPU is going to be a pain in the a**. I guess I will be waiting for a bit before I do the actual build, unless I just end up going for an alienware or something similar and upgrading the GPU eventually.

DONT go with a Alienware prebuilt.
If you really need a prebuilt go to NZXT,atleast they use normal motherboard.
Not that OEM bs that cant be upgraded to anything.
Speaking from personal experience unfortunately.

If you dont need a pc right now at this moment its not worth getting a prebuilt of any sort.
There is no point in getting a prebuilt if you want to upgrade the GPU,since pretty much everything except GPU's is in stock and priced a msrp.
I suggest waiting until you can grab a 3080 or 6800XT.
Then build the rest of your pc around it,since thats the easy part.
