Looking for help on choosing a GPU.

I was going to buy a 760 but amazon has a 7970 for the same price. I was planning on waiting to see whats going to be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But would it even be worth waiting? Just because there's going to be sale doesn't mean what I wants going to be. I'm just looking for some advice on what to do thanks for reading and any advice would be appreciated.

That for $260! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. 760 don't even come close!

If your budget if $300 then the 280X is your best bet.
