Went to Micro Center today and bought CPU/MOBO and RAM. Didn't really think about compatibility with RAM except for knowing it needed to be DD4.
I purchased the following.
CPU: Ryzen 2600
MOBO: B450 GAMING PRO CARBON
RAM: G. Skill Ripjaws V 16GB
I checked MSI's site for compatibility with the QVL and didn't see the RAM listed. I also checked a few other RAM options from Micro Center and I couldn't find those on the supported list for the MOBO. Am I overthinking it? Do I just need to install it and do tests to see if it works? Is there another RAM I should go with? I haven't opened anything yet. My budget was to keep it under $450 with tax.I expect I would only hit 2933 for speed on the RAM which is fine with me. Feel like i'm losing my mind. I really the appreciate help.
