Hello,

I am having trouble flashing/updating my BIOS. I have the American Megatrends, Inc version 0921, 3/4/2010

I went to ASUS' support website, my mother board is M4A785TD-M EVO and downloaded the most updated BIOS and tried their BIOS utilities and they don't work, it brought up the error message something about the program is not 64-bit.

My OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and I also tried the BIOS' EZ-FLASH UTILITY and tried to load the updated version of BIOS to it and it said BOOT BLOCK IS NOT VALID.

I went to American Megatrends' website and found out that they use eSupport which I tried, the software detected my BIOS is outdated and has an update available and when I tried to download it, it says I have to pay for the one year subscription of eSupport software for $40.

I am running out of ideas on how to update the BIOS.

Let me know thanks.

Ok I figured out when I saw several threads about putting ROM files on a memory stick and i used the ASUS EZ Flash 2 in my bios settings and its updated. Thanks for taking the time to read my thread. Case closed.
