Looking for help upgrading my onboard graphics card

Hi, I need any feedback that could help me upgrade my graphics card and have listed below the specs of the computer. I called ASUS about the M2N68-LA ( Narra3) motherboard and he suggested that i could use
Dell nVidia Quadro 2000 1GB PCI-E 2.0 x16 Video Graphics Card P/N: 2PNXF
this card cost way more than I want to spend on this 8 year old machine, I do not play games on this pc just use photoshop and the like, watch some netflix ect ect so I just want something that will help the system to not rob ram from the MOBO and help my system run its best
also I would maybe in the future want to upgrade my monitor from the hp w2207h to something bigger and better.

please if anyone has some input on brands like AMD - NVIDIA with fan or W/O fan ect should I search for something with these specs 1GB PCI-E 2.0 x16 Video Graphics can I do a 2gb pci-2.0x16 card?

Fortunately, you don't need anything that high end unless you are doing CAD / CAM or 3D rendering.

As your system uses an NVIDIA chipset, I would stick with an NVIDIA video card. The GeForce 210 should do what you want to do and many are available that are passively cooled (no fan needed).

For the best long term solution, I would go with the EVGA 01G-P3-1313-KR video card for $35:

I would also use a slot fan below the video card to dump cooler air on it and make sure that it doesn't have any problems. This one should work fine and is only $5:

This adds up to a total of $40 through NewEgg (you can get them at Amazon as well, but the prices are different). The card comes with VGA, DVI, and HDMI ports and can run up to 2560 x 1600 resolution on its DVI and HDMI ports (VGA can't go that high).

The card is definitely low end, but it is still faster than the onboard video and has its own memory (1GB). It will draw some power, but since it tops out at 30.5 watts at 100% load, your power supply will be fine with it.
