Hello, I received a new graphics card (AMD Radeon RX 460 2GB DDR5) for Christmas and installed it the next day. I snapped it into place after removing the old one and started up my Desktop only to find that the graphics card would not display anything on my monitor. I am hoping that the solution to my problem is simple and not expensive. I use a DVI-D to HDMI cable to connect my monitor to my graphics card. I think it could be many things, the cable that I use to connect my monitor, faulty graphics card, not enough power, unsupported PCI-E slot, or my stupidity of rushing into wanting to install the graphics card ASAP. The fans do spin, and I am positive that I am connecting my monitor to the GPU and not the MB. I also have 2 monitors, the DVI-D to HDMI cable is for my main If there is any other information needed to help find a solution, please let me know. The sooner I get this problem solved, the better.

Make sure that you actually choose the right channel on your monitor. If you had a different cable for your old grapichs card, or used a different slot on your screen, make sure to choose the correct one on your monitor, so it displays info from the given port. Theres probably a little "Menu" button or something on your screen, which you can use to choose the correct slot you put the cable in.

I have tried that already but does not detect any output/source. The GPU probably only detects same-type monitor cables. Should I use DVI-D to DVI-D instead of DVI-D to HDMI?

How are you going about getting DVI-D to HDMI?
Try using DVI-D to DVI-D and see if it works

My current GPU supported DVI-I, DP, and HDMI. I use an adapter for the DVI-I port to allow me to connect VGA to it. DVI-D to HDMI was just a simple solution that was cheap since I had received another monitor from a friend a while ago

Try hooking it up without any adapters, and see if it works. At least then we'll know its not a cable problem if it doesn't.

I hook up my monitor to my potato GPU with no adapter, and I hooked up with no adapters to my new GPU to see if it would work when I first got it. I forgot to state that I have 2 monitors.

If you tried without the adapters and it still doesn't display any content, then last things to do is to try and install it in another PCI-E slot, and also try the card out on another system.

If it still does not display content, it's most likely got defect ports, and you'll have to send it back. Can't think of any other issues.
