My uncle recently bought an LED Sign except when he gave it to me to program it so it could read something else instead of the standard "welcome" I wanted to add more to it via the computer. I looked online and saw some came with a remote to do it manually, but mine doesn't say what model it is or came with any software that I am aware of. I've been searching for software to modify the contents, but no luck. It's a 96 x 16 and it has 3 panels the first panel (on the left) being Green, the second (middle) being Red, and the third one (right) being Blue. But combined they make 96 x 16. It has an on and off switch on the power cord and it has a second cable that is a female usb adapter. I do not currently have a male to male USB cable to hook this up to my computer. I wanted to verify if that is what I'm supposed to do. I tried inserting a USB Drive to it and it read in bright blue led letters "USB... NULL" which means it had no effect. So I assume maybe I can prepare a txt. file? or a batch? Unsure as what to do here. Any suggestions?

Okay so I managed to find Software on it however I have no way of accessing it because it is from China. The software driver for my 96x16 LED Array is called F70_MINI_2014. If anyone could help me go around this so I can download the program so I can change the lettering for my LED sign that would be great. If you can design or provide a link to an American version or a legit version as an alternate that would be great. It's going to have to be for Single Color since I can't or won't be able to change the color scheme since the LEDs are already colored. Just need something I can go back to so I can change what the Sign will say instead of the stock "Welcome". The website it's asking me to download from is www.hengwuled.com

I do not suggest clicking on it unless your computer is well protected as I am not savvy in the security area. Malwarebytes simply blocked that IP and is preventing me from going any further. Google also could not reach the page.

I have found a solution to all of you LED Sign Builders for the software part of things. I am using " LED Edit 2014 " as a means to program arrays of LED Strips and assign the corresponding Controllers to them. If you DIYers have any questions feel free to ask.

LED Strips: WS2801 White PCB 32 LEDs/1M (1M = 1 Meter)

Controller: T1000S

My Array: 32 x 10 / 32 LEDs per 1M rows

Program: Led Edit 2014

Flexfire LEDs on YouTube helped a lot.

Hey Joker,

I am currently in the exact same boat you were in a year ago. While I'm not having to retro-fit a sign, I have purchased a large number of the same intelligent LEDs (WS2811) and the same T1000S controller with SD card. My problem in all of this is that the Chinese seller isn't good with English, so he prefers to ignore my requests for software entirely. The Alibaba store page from which I ordered the LEDs and Controller specifically states that the software would be provided at the time of purchase, and all requests regarding this have been simply ignored.

So here I sit with over $500 invested in LED modules, controller, power supplies, etc... and I cannot get anything to work. Even the "User Manual" for the controller is entirely useless, it is a single page of paper folded up and contains ONLY Chinese. I am very frustrated and VERY pissed off.

I have tried getting the LED Edit 2014 software from other vendors who sell that controller, but no luck so far. However, a Google search has turned up several sources for the program and downloaded it, but the results of an online virus scan always results in the the executable file being detected as a Trojan. I have not been able to find a clean, working copy of that program from anywhere, and I am getting worried that all of these sellers of the controller are offering copies of the same virus-stuffed program believing it to be safe.

I am hoping my message to you will actually go through and you'll see it. If you do, would you PLEASE be kind enough to send me the link to wherever you found your working copy of the program?? Or better yet, might you be able to send me a copy of it?? You have no idea how much that would help me, and how much I'd appreciate it. Even if you cannot help me, would you mind contacting me at lost-in-canada@objectmail.com so that I know the message reached you?

Thanks man! Cheers.

I apologize for the long wait, but if you are still interested or haven't found the link. The one I used is from this website:
https://en.freedownloadmanager.org/Windows-PC/LedEdit-2014-FREE.html

This site is legitimate and has HTTPS protection (The little lock on the top left) should you feel wary. I am not responsible though for any damages that may occur and am just replying to an old post.

I am sure there are newer versions out now like 2017 or 2018, but I am unaware if they are free. This is an open source software to the extent of my knowledge. Anyone charging you money in any shape or form for this program is doing so illegally. If you do plan on downloading this software and it's not available from the same link I provided

I have Malwarebytes as an Anti-Malware service and it came up clean for me. Yes, the manufacturers aren't the most helpful of people and only care to sell their product. Apparently, after finishing my project new videos surged up on YouTube and became slightly more helpful like Arduino-based guides, but those require some actual understanding of a coding language like Java to program light behavior versus the nice graphical interface that LED Edit gives.
