So basically I'm looking to replace my GA-MA785GM-US2H mobo, I understand that it's old but I'm too lazy to upgrade my system right now and I also don't have the money. So the mobo I had installed in my system before it died was a revision 3.3. I was just wondering if their were any known problems with the earlier revisions to this mobo. Also I understand that the earlier revisions to this mobo had a less than favorable colors on the RAM slots, I really don't care at this point. Really just looking for advice and information on the matter, any input is appreciated.

If you go through your intended product's revision line you'll notice that they are identical including the placement of the capacitors and the VRM's. Often times Gigabyte has come under scrutiny for reducing the quality of their boards with subsequent revision updates. This can range from swapping out the NIC or the audio codec chip to a cheaper one. As far as my eyes tell me you're fine with any revision you get though it's also possible that the revisions came out in favor of the color scheme and instability issues on their older range.

Mind sharing the rest of your system's specs? Perhaps find out the source to causing the board to die? Did you overclock on it?
