Hi. I want to get a new gaming pc, my old one is over 6 years old and I'm having trouble running newer stuff.
I was messing around on pcpartpicker earlier and came out with a build. Will this run newer stuff at high settings without any problems ?
Also, will the power supply be enough for two monitors with the build?
Here's the build:
The CPU, Motherboard and RAM are in a bundle from Microcenter for 550, the rest are from all over the place.
I'm not 100% sure about the case either, especially since the one I have on this build is a mid-tower. I might actually go with a Fractal Meshify
Another question I have is about the CPU cooling. Should I stick with the Noctua D15 or go with some kind of water cooling? I've been using Noctua for a while and I've always been happy with it.
Thanks !

Build looks good. 👍

The case is more of a personal choice, so not much I could say about it... though that big ol' Meshify XL... it's going to look rather empty inside with the usual part selection.
Mid towers are large enough for most builds.

No harm in trying an AIO out of curosity, if you wish. If you already have a cooler on hand that you can use as a backup for the new build, then you've already taken care of one of the biggest cons with AIOs.

@hopig I would look at Windows 11 for these 13 gen cpu's seeing how that o/s was more or less taylor made for 12 / 13 gen.

Here's a build that will give you similar performance at a reduced cost. If you want integrated graphics then look at the i7 13700.

If you want Intel, I would suggest you to hold on till i7 14700 release if possible.

If you go for AMD, the AM5 would give you the chance to upgrade the cpu with the same mobo even in 2026.

If you are gaming in 2k resolution, the 4070ti will not be viable in a few more years. the 12gb Vram would be a limitation.

with that said, i would look for either 4080 or 7900XT.

AM5 build suggestion:

Big fancy air cooler with temp readout

ARGB Case with Type C front panel connector

ATX 3.0 PSU with 16 pin connector for Nvidia and AMD cards

You can build as is.
NH-D15 is as good as it gets for an air cooler in a nice case like the one you picked.

To do better, you would be looking at 360 sized aio coolers.
And, NH-D15 does nicely even with 13900K.

After evaluating all my options, I did decide to actually wait for the 14700.
