Looking for low profile storage drive (Samsung Fit vs Lexar S45)

Hey I'm looking for a low profile USB drive.
Which one between these two is better and why?
-Samsung 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Fit (MUF-128BB/AM)
-Lexar® JumpDrive® S45 128 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
I also checked the Sandisk but a lot of people reported heating issues.
I'm also open to other brands and options (USB type C? low profile SD card?)

Type-C might be troublesome for a few years yet. SD Cards kind of the same problem, not everything will have a slot, unless you carry a reader around with you.

Samsung makes their own memory, and in this case, they offer a 5-year warranty. Roughly the same performance specs.

I have an XPS 15 and normal SD cards stick out, so I'm looking for something low profile. I found these two on Amazon but I don't know if they are compatible

No reason to think they wouldn't be. SD Cards are fairly standardized. Usually it is sizes too large for older devices, but with a late model Macbook, I think you are pretty well covered.

But which one of the two? Do you think the smaller one would work?

I think they would both work. Only sure ways to know would be to buy both, test both, or have your local Apple Store make a recommendation.
