Hi there, I recently bought this pc from a friend who only played league, and I was wanting to know what my next upgrade should be. At this point, I'm not comfortable with overclocking, and I'm sticking to 1080p gaming.

Heres the build:

GPU: Msi GTX 970 100ME
CPU: I5 6500 3.2 Ghz
MOBO: Msi- B150m MORTAR Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
RAM: Corsair Vengence LPX 8 gb (2x4) DDR4-2400
SSD: ADATA- Premier Pro SP600 128 gb 2.5" SSD
HDD: (Unkown 1 TB)
PSU: be quiet! - 500w 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

games r be coming more resource hungry these days. dx12 will better utilize the extra power. u r bottlecked by ur monitor there. so a 970 is enough until u upgrade to a 144hz one. a 6700 is a good choice. if u r looking at a new monitor, i would suggest u to look for a HDR Quantum dot model with freesync/gsync and decide on the gpu upgrade accordingly. the vega models will be out by this winter, so i would suggest u to wait for ur monitor/gpu upgrade till then ;)

Are i7s really worth it these days? Aren't i5s just as good when it comes to most gaming?
