Hello!
I'm looking for a NAS that is not too expensive (<200 USD) and can do the following:
- Store content from my family's mobile devices in our network at a central location
- Mirror the content saved on the NAS to an external offsite FTP for redundancy in case the NAS drive fails, fire or other "acts of god" as an insurance would call it...
- It should be possible to schedule backups (preferably nighttime) without having a PC or other device than the NAS running.
I currently have a Synology DS210j, which can do some basic FTP transfers, but at very slow bandwidth speeds and it has no real offsite backup function (or at least nothing user friendly).
I already asked in a few forums but never got a satisfactory reply and I wonder why. Is it so unusual that I want an offsite backup of my data somewhere else?
Bests,
Sascha
