I have old school i7 950 and intel dx58so extreme edition 8gb ram nvidia 750ti, samsung 850 evo 250gb 4tb wd blue.
Recently i have been upgrading my pc like adding ssd, rams etc.
But i found out motherboard doesn't support 6 gb/s sata connection so i won't be albe to experience full speed of ssd.
Honestly i don't have any problems with cpu working fine.
But i was thinking did i need toh upgrade my cpu and motherboard because i7 950 1366 motherboard are very expensive.
So, i need to buy cpu and motherboard.
For gaming, work.
In short all-rounder.
Please help me guys
Thanks.

In that case, for processor you can go with either the Intel Core i7-4790K, or Intel Core i7-5930K, the first being a few hundred dollars cheaper, while the second offering better performance. If you go with the 4790K, a good motherboard to pair it with would be the MSI Gaming Z97. If you go with the 5930K, I would pair it with the ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME motherboard.

Obviously the first option of 4790K is much cheaper, whereas the 5930K is considerably more expensive, however you will have a more 'premium' performance from the 5930K.
Were you looking at staying with an Intel processor, or is either AMD or Intel fine? Also, what is your price range? It would help to know so we can recommend the most "bang for your buck"

thanks budddy for considering.
i would like to stay with intel processor .
and for budget 300-400 dollars would be sufficent for cpu.
but there is no issue of budget.
i would like to buy best.

Okay, how big is your computer case? If it's what most would call "normal sized" then we'll be looking at ATX motherboards. If it's *very* large, we can get you an eATX, or "extended ATX"

my case is full tower supports atx board
