Hello guys I'm looking for a GPU with specs like R9 290 and my problem is that most of them require 750w psu or more. The reason I want something like 290 is that I want to keep my gpu for some years not dump it after 2 years or so and of course have all the games in ultra graphics. I have found some cards that would be compatible with my 650w but will this psu hold such a card in its full load?
And please is this site accurate on its calculations?

This is the psu http://www.plaisio.gr/ypologistes-anavathmisi/anavathmisi-ypologisti/psu-trofodotiko/Turbo-X-650W-Value-Series-DR-8600BTX.htm
please translate from greek to understand but I'm sure turbo-x is full of crap. What company should I trust in choosing a psu, I've heard corsair is good but I want some opinions from people who have more experience than me. Also I have installed many components in my pc:
5 120mm fans
2 HDD
1 SSD
2 CD/DVD drives
intel core i5 3330
and I'm looking to add some pci or pci-e usb 3.0 cards
So.. to get a 290 (I don't want crossfire or OC it) should I upgrade to a better psu and if so how much wattage?
Thanks for the site anort3 I will save it on my bookmarks it helps very much:)

That power supply is very much junk. If it was labeled correctly it would be closer to 400 watts not 650 watts based on the 12v amps.

These models are very good and really the only ones on the site that look good. There is also the Corsair RM but I don't recommend either the RM or the CX.

Good.

Best.

RM and CX are lower quality and use cheap capacitors.

Here is a list based on quality. You should use tier 2 and up for a high power system with an R9 290.

850 watts does not help you. Not enough power to add a second card. 650 watts is fine unless you just see a higher powered very good quality model on sale cheaper than a good 650w unit.

The Corsair AXi 860 is one of the best units on the market but again you don't need over 650 watts. So you could save some money. Check out XFX. All their units are made by Seasonic ( the best ) and they are generally cheaper than Seasonic branded units while being just as high quality.

The Seasonic G series 650w model is a great value here in the US. It's a very high quality unit for a good price.

Well I'm gonna stick with this one CORSAIR AX760, it doesn't have 650 but will 760 be enough if the pc is in full load?
And let's go back to the gpu. What differrences do R9 290 and R9 290x have, and what company should I choose? (I've seen asus, gigabyte, sapphire so far and don't know which one to pick)
