Approximate Purchase Date: Dec 30th - February 1st

Budget Range: Just including the main system components, roughly $3,000. Monitor, peripherals, etc will be factored into a separate budget

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, coding, movies, internet browsing

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: Everything, this is going to be a complete system build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg. I'd prefer to purchase all components from a single company, although that may not be possible

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Parts Preferences: Intel, Asus, Corsair

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Yes

Your Monitor Resolution: I'd prefer a resolution of 1920 x 1080 with a low response time

Additional Comments: The overall aesthetics is going to play a relatively important role here. I'm going for a red/black color scheme and a very clean and minimalistic look.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I sold my original PC a while back to get money for school. I'm in a better situation financially now and would like to get back into PC gaming

Any advice on what I've currently chosen would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on how much coding you'll be doing, the i7 Cpu might be overkill. If it's quite a bit, then it's a good fit, but if it's more of a hobby then I'd save the money and just use an i5. Same is true for the Ram. Most I'd get would be 16gb's honestly. Unless it's a massive amount of coding.

The SSD you've chosen isn't the one I'd get or recommend. The Samsung 840 Evo 250 is a good price and offers excellent performance.

Complete overkill on the Psu. I'd max out at about 1000w myself with that build, even taking overclocking into account. If there is a minimal price difference between a good 1000w and that 1200w, then it's a good buy.

What is your overall budget for those parts? There are a couple of directions you could...

As far as the coding goes, it's really more of a hobbie at this point. I'm taking several programming classes in college, so I will be doing a fair amount of coding every day, but nothing on a professional level at this time.

32GB of memory is definitely overkill, I agree 110% there :) The theory behind this, was not having to worry about upgrading my build for several years.

As far as the PSU, I could go with a CORSAIR RM 1000 Series for $199.99; it was something that I was considering. I haven't done a whole lot of overclocking in the past, so I really just wanted to make sure I plenty of power to back everything up.

I'd like to spend no more than $3,000 on all the parts listed above.

Well then, that's a large budget for just those items. With that much money, there are a lot of fun things we could do. One sec, and I'll see what I can configure and edit this post.

Under 3k, and complete overkill. However, it doesn't get much better than this for this much money.

Hexacore I7 Cpu, and overclockable. Above average motherboard to go with it. Toss any game at this pair and watch it breeze through it. It will run any graphical set-up out right now, period. Good specs on the 4 x 4gb set of Ram from g.Skill. Great cooler because it performs well, and is designed to be taken apart and added to later. Larger reservoir, water blocks for the video cards, ect.

SSD with standard 1tb HDD. Standard optical drive, Win8.1 too. NZXT full tower enclosure, it's a monster and it's a great product. One of the few eVga Psu's that is a great quality, with enough power to support overclocking on this build.

Red/black themed too. I did use 3 different websites though, but those 3 are good. Wanted some choice to get the best prices I could, within reason.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2nzUu go on this website i picked some parts i got it to just a bit over 3000$ i kept your processor your ram and your gpu and water cooler but i changed almost everything else. i picked the same motherboard because i have heard good feedback from it. i chose the samsung ssd because samsung is amazing when it comes to ssd and for your backups and storing games i chose a w.d red 3 tb because it is meant for back up so it wont ever crash. i chose the corsair dominator platinum 32gb because you said you wanted to code and game this is top of the line ram. i chose the corsair obsidian 750d because there is plenty of space for your sli 780, cable management and overall looks. i got you a bluray writer and reader because of games and movies. i kept roughly the same power supply and windows 8.1. i know they arents from the same website but i have used the same website before and it works fine they also come within 1-3 weeks. i hope this helps
