I am looking for new wireless router. guy from cable company TWC recommended Netgear Knighthawk AC 1900 and TPLink TL WR1043NC. thoughts? I was leaning towards Netgear. huge difference in price

OK well some of these are modem and wifi the one you had identified is modem only, Just thinking you dont really need a wifi router if you have a wifi modem to save some money, Unless your house is big and need the wifi to reach further, This is the netgear router I have http:// It works great for me.

thanks all. I am trying to do the same thing, save from renting this through them. I had already identified a pretty solid modem with Arris SB6183 (not sure I mentioned that initially) now I Am looking for wireless router. that is where I was lookiing for guidance. this link is really helpful with approved equipment so thanks. guy from TWC recommended either Netgear or TP link for router. he is a gamer and he seemed to be pretty knowledgable.

thnaks. I went with this one
TP-LINK Archer CR700 AC1750 Wireless Dual Band 16x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router, Up to 680Mbps Download Data Rates, Certified for Comcast, Time Warner, Cablevision and Bright House

on the approved TWC list. I wanted to get router and modem all in one. we do have some dead spots in our house so range is an issue for me. thanks for help. I have used netgear in the past. I know they make good stuff.
