What I"m looking for is some advice or for someone to point me to a 'How to OC Guide for Dummies' as I'm fairly new to the whole thing. I've only tried one other OC project before and didn't get great results. Took a 2.4 P4 to a 2.6 before it got to unstable to function reliably. Not really enough to notice a big differnce in performance.
I want to know how to get the most out of my hardware. I'd like to OC the CPU and GPU if it means getting a noticable performance increase. I.E. I can take the graphics settings of my favorite game up a notch higher than normal and still have respectable FPS. I'd also like to get it to a comfortable place and leave it there. I don't want to have to worry that I"m gonna fry my system if I leave it OC'd to surf the web. In other words I want to be able to leave the system OC'd and not have to mess with reseting the bios every time I want to play my games. And, I don't want to reduce the life of my cpu to less than a year 😀.
TIA for all your help and advice.
