Get an i7 4770K, or an i5 4670K, and a good Z87 motherboard (ASUS, Gigabyte, or MSI), and then get a 780 Ti from ASUS, Gigabyte, or EVGA. I would also add a 128gb SSD from Samsung. And a better PSU, and tier 1 or 2 from this list.

actually i would keep the 6 core, very future minded, especially in multithreaded games.

For just gaming I'd drop the socket 2011, and get a socket 1150 Z87 board and a 4670k or 4770k. Then get a better PSU, the CX series uses cheap capacitors that can lead to problems later. I made a few changes.
