I'm a newbie too, I would suggest using PcPartPicker. It will tell you if your components are compatible, and also where you can get the best (online) price on each component, as well as user reviews.

I built my first one about 5 years ago, and by ordering online from multiple vendors, I came in far enough under budget to buy a new case and PSU.

Never had so much as a glitch with the combination of components.
