Looking for PC Upgrade suggestions.

Hello,

I am back again looking for help on some PC upgrades. I am mostly trying to make sure my computer is ready with the new release of Destiny 2 and Battlefront 2. I currently can play PUBG on ultra with 30-60 frames.

I was thinking of maybe upgrading to a i7-4790k Quad Core. Any other ideas would be helpful. Trying to keep the upgrade around or under $500 if possible.

Here are my current specs:
Motherboard- MSI Z97 PC Mate
CPU- Intel i5-4690k Devil's Canyon Quad Core 3.5 GHz
GPU- ASUS GTX 1080 8GB Strix
Ram- Corsair Vengance 2x8GB(16GB)
HDD- Seadate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm 64Mb Cache
SSD- King Dian 240Gb S400XT
Case- Phanteks Enthoo Pro Full Tower Chassis
CPU Cooler- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan
PSU- EVGA 500W

uprade the cpu to i7 4790k

Yeah differently wouldn't hurt to upgrade to i7-4790k or higher Quad Core, but in saying that you should be thinking of some more power in the PSU side too 650-700W wouldn't hurt with the upgrade. I'm running pretty close CPU what you are looking for and i know at 500W I was having trouble getting the voltage into my overclock, so I went to 700W and it's seems to run without an issues on higher end games.

Nice choice I think you would be right on the mark with those two upgrades especially with the graphic card you are running you'll 100% hit your benchmark for Destiny 2 and Battlefront 2.
