[SOLVED] Looking for places to buy prebuild computers

Hello there.

I would suggest you to buy your own components and build it yourself, because the pre-built computers are more expensive than the manually built ones.

CyberPowerPC and IBuyPower are the same company just using different brand names. These are to be avoided at all costs. I would probably say the same for any company that allows you to configure your own PC. If you REALLY need a pre-built, go with a known brand name like Dell, Acer, HP, etc... Otherwise I highly recommend building your own.

been 11 years since I got this computer and another 5-10 before that since I built my own while I might be able to work my way through saving 200-250$ is just not worth it to me anymore as long as I can pick good parts..... I guess I should not have said prebuilt its more custom built

cyberpower and Ibuypower are not the same that being said what is or is not the same can be a very fine line they are 2 blocks away from each other most likely owned/started by the same person but that does not mean the same.

my own job had a company started by the same guy doing the same thing like 4 blocks from us until they went out of business a year or 2 ago after both were around for like 40 years other then subcontracting some work out to each other they where 100% not connected in any other way

if you're going for dell Acer or hp you really need to read some more about history

I have not been buying things for 11 years as I said but I know 100% all of those have a rap sheet 20miles long even back then and since I have seen newer stuff at work that was just as low quality from dell I would guess very little has changed

Buying the off the shelf stuff from cyberpower or really any of these companies is asking for problems the power supplies, for example they give you mine as well be made of turd if you don't go in and pay extra for a custom build

Those 2 are not good at all. If you go pre-built I'd suggest using Overclockers, picking your parts and then asking them for a quote to build it, which will probably be about £80-100 on top of parts. I've done this myself and they have much better value and you know exactly what you're getting. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/

What's your budget? As a reference this is what I am thinking of getting, which come to a total of £816 before build costs:

The same build, or as near as I could get at CyberpowerPC comes to £1153. I admit my case is probably rubbish (savings!) but apart from that it's all solid, good quality components.
