Hi everyone.
I am upgrading certain components on my system. I currently have Asus M4A785TD-V Evo AM3 Mainboard (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A785TDV_EVO/) , which has served me very well since 2009. Come October, I want to purchase a new GPU (looking at buying HD7950; currently have the HD4890OC), A new PSU (To power that monster card) and some RAM.
1) Seeing as the MOBO only has PCi-e 2.0 support, will this be a major throttle on the GPU's performance?
2)will this MOBO paired with its loyal AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 125 AM3 8MB 3200 still be able to run new generation games, such as Battlefield 4 (being released end October) , when I add 8gigs of DDR3 RAM, HD7950 and a 750W PSU, or bottleneck the whole system to a point of frustration?
