Hey!

Here's my updated list, I just got the 3080 so there's the point of no return.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QjN9fP

Important is that it's a quiet build, I initially wanted to give it a nice look with distinct RGB, but then realized the updated CPU 5900x needs as much cooling as it could possibly get so here are my two questions:

1. What RAM do you recommend for this build? Initially aiming for the Trident Neo 3600 CL16 but realized that

1a) they might not fit depending on the cooler I choose.

1b) they might not be visible depending on the cooler I choose.

2. What cooler would you recommend?

It's like a vicious cycle I am stuck in right now and could need some help, haha.

Thanks guys!

Solution
Noctua maintains lists of suitability and compatibility for their coolers.
Here is the list for the 5900X:

Yes, the NH-D15 is suitable, but it will have issues with tall ram.
The NH-D15s is a high compatibility version of the NH-D15 which will clear ram up to 65mm tall.
https://noctua.at/en/nh-d15s-chromax-black/specification

That is a nice looking case.
Apparently it comes with a single 140mm intake and no room for more.
If testing shows insufficient front intake capability, there are higher speed 140mm fans available(3000 rpm?
Or you could go with three 120mm intakes.

Hello

for a cooler I would recommend a bequiet dark rock 4 (pro is also an option but that one is massive)

the TDP is 200W your cpu's tdp is 105W this gives you plenty of headroom to oc/push the cpu to it's limits

it's also very quiet as the brandname suggests

i am using the same cooler and it does not cover my ramslots on my gigabyte b550 aurus elite
