Hi guys first post. I am trying to build a new gaming rig and i am wondering what ram u guys would recomend i was going to buy either
1)mushkin REDLINE 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) with EPP Profile Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996525 - Retail
2)mushkin eXtreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) with EPP Profile Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
3)Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT12864AL1005 - Retail
I am going to buy the following componets:
E6600 Duo2 cooled by Zalman 9700
Abit In9 32-MAX motherboard
ram is 2*1 gb stincs of ddr2??
2x150gb Raptor X's in raid 0
EVGA 8800 GTX(superclocked)
Razer Barracuda soundcard
Antec 900 case
Thermaltake 700W toughpower powersupply
Added fan to northbridge heatsink
i am preaty set on most of my hw but can not decide on what ram would be better. the muskin extream performance is the fastest speed of the 3 ram sets i like and the most expensive. the red line is a little slower but has the lowes cas latency out of all 3 ram sets the crucial lookes the best has solid heatsinks and is as fast as the red line but with a higher rated cas latency a 5 instead of a 4 it also seems to be a better overclocker(that is what i have heard of on differnt forumz and is with out breaking the warenty by going over the voltage limit set by each respective company. so that is all the info i have price isnt to different the crucial is about 25$ cheaper then teh two muskin products and the muskin sets are within 4 $ of each other price wise.
