Hello, I have a fx-6300 cpu, msi 970a g43 mobo. I have currently kingston 2x2gb ddr3 1333 mhz in my system now, but there was a time that I tested my system with a Ram Kingston Hyperx Fury 4gb Ddr3 1866mhz and my pc constantly showed me blue screens. So I need a little help to purchase the correct memories and avoid that problem.

Solution
It shouldn't, no. The 6300 should easily handle 1600 and will prob handle 1866 - 2133 is a stretch for most 6300s. The answer in that response is from reading specs on what AMD 'suggest' for DRAM. i.e. a good examply is them saying 'up to 1866' for FX CPUs I run 4x8GB of 2400 with my 8370, it all depends on the individual CPU and it's capabilities - AMD isn't very forthcoming with honest info on their products

+1 About the highest I'd try is 1866 with either the GSkill Snipers or Ripjaws X

So you think this one will not bring any kind of troubles? I saw this article and i got confused: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2365157/msi-970a-g43-ram-support.html

Take a look to the best solution, please

Solution

Allright, I will keep in mind that. But I have 2 last questions!

1) Should I consider keep using the old 2x2gb kingston memories WITH, for example, the G.Skill Ripjaws Series named above? I mean, in terms of compatibility, so I will don't have any blue screen errors.

2) What do you think it was the problem that I had, after having a blue screen while using a new memory in my system?
It was only 1 memory of 4gb (the new one, which failed, 1866mhz) with the current 2x2gb(1333mhz), as said as above.

Well, that is all I wanted to know, thank you very much for your support.
