Never built a PC before, so I was hoping y'all could give me some advice on a build friends helped me develop.
My preferences: play three years and older games on high/ultra graphics at steady 60fps. Play current games on medium/high graphics at steady rates >30fps. "Future proof" for at least 5 years (hence the 16gm ram). I don't care about visuals of the case, prefer practicality over beauty (live on college campus, likely to move PC twice every four months or so). Access to WiFi, Ethernet.
Do not need to include OS or other software to list, only interested in hardware.
My budget is $1,100, let me know what changes (if any) I can do to this list:

Intel i5 vs Ryzen 5 1600 vs Intel i7
B250 Mother board vs B350 Mother board
GTX 1060 vs GTX 1070
The Case (cooling, mobility, and weight)
