The power supply on my 2006 Core2Duo machine crapped out and I figured this would be a good time to upgrade to the current era of machines. I've got all the parts I'd like to upgrade picked out and figured I'd get the Tom's Hardware stamp of approval before hitting the purchase button.
I'm sure a little background on it's use is necessary. It'll be used mainly for audio recording, coding and occasional gaming. That's why I'm using that motherboard, it has a firewire port. I've already upgraded the ram and graphics card recently so I thought I'd leave that off for now. I've also got a 2TB hdd to use as a storage drive.
I picked the case and water cooler for noise and heat purposes. I'd like to keep it silent as possible and also somewhat cool in the summer. I figured I'd use the Samsung 830 as the SSD as it seems to be the top tier for now.
Just wanted some opinions before purchasing. Thanks!
