Looking for silent psu?

For system specs, i got a Fractal Design Define C Tempered Glass case, an 8700K CPU, Aorus 1080Ti 11GB, Z370 Aorus Gaming K3 mobo and a Noctua NH-D15 cooler.

At the moment I'm using a Corsair CX850M 850W PSU, which works fine, but when I get over 80FPS in a game, its fan starts making some big levels of noise, louder than anything else in the system, even GPU set to 100% fan speed. It is not coil noise, just regular fan noise.

I'm thinking about RMA'ing it, but i NEED to replace it with a PSU that is silent, even if it's more expensive than the CX850M, cause this one's really getting on my nerves, not even wearing a headset can make the noise acceptable. The new one must also be compatible with my case and have cables at least as long as the CX.

Any suggestions? Thank you very much!

Hmm, a larger, high efficiency, PSU with a silent mode would probably do it, but it is going to be quite expensive. You would want something like a 1200-1500W supply. As long as the load is low enough it will not run the fan or run it at a low RPM.

This is the only one I could find that would fit:

May even have fan control, seems like it lets you choose between fanless, silent, and cooling modes.

There are some Platinum rated supplies that are a little larger, since I believe silent mode kicks in at 40% load...
