Hello everyone,

After noticing while playing, my fps sometimes doesn't stay at 150+. When I got my computer, everything was fine, but since few updates on the game (CS:GO) there has been some issues.

So I decided I probably should overclock.

Here are my specs:

CPU: i5-6600k @ 3.5GHz
GPU: GTX 750Ti
Mobo: Z170 Pro Gaming
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S
RAM: HyperX DDR4 2666MHz

Now, I would just want to overclock a little, since I feel just a little would be enough for me.

What would you recommend doing? What's a 'safe' amount to overclock?

Thanks.

As long as you keep your core temp under 80c max while at 100% load and Vcore under 1.4v you are considered safe. But many users strive for closer to 70c and 1.35v.

Most 6600K's can hit at least 4.5Ghz around 1.35v, some may require more voltage, some less. The best advice is to just take it slow and increase your multiplier little by little while monitoring core temps and stress testing for stability.
