I currently have one EVGA SC GTX 780 Ti graphics card in my system currently, and I was considering buying a second one to increase my gaming performance. However, I have a friend who is interested in trading me his r9 390x for my 780 ti, and I was wondering if I should keep my 780 ti, and buy a second one, or if I should trade it for his card, and buy a second one of those.
My system specs are:
Asus Z170-A MB
i5 6600k @ 4.6ghz
8gb of ddr4 @ 2400mhz
1000w Corsair psu

I am running a custom water cooling loop, and I am also considering buying water blocks for the cards that I plan on buying. The R9 390x has the stock pcb from amd, so the previous 290x blocks fit on there with no problems. I also want to know if these cards are even worth the water blocks. I am not sure if there is something better I could be getting, so if you guys have any ideas on a sli/cf water cooling configuration, I would love to hear it.

Solution
Ofcourse 780ti is better but I would suggest to you selling your current 780ti and with the money you get and some more get the gtx 980ti and SLI it later on

I have been thinking about that, and I have also been considering two fury x's. They are both pretty close in their bench marks, and as I am seeing currently, the amd cards handle the DX12 api much better. What are your thoughts about this? Should I go with the fury x's?

Personally I don't like the price-to-performance of the Fury X. But ultimately it's your money. The thing that really put me off about the Fury X is the well documented pump whine. I'm assuming that you're aware that you'll need to mount the radiator connected to the card. The frequency of the pump noise would be too much for me to deal with. I don't know if they've fixed the problem, but I didn't want to deal with the hassle. I suppose you could order it off Amazon and simply use their no hassle return policy if you don't like anything about the Fury X. Let me know if you need help finding the videos showing the pump whine noise. Below is a video review comparing the 980 Ti SLI vs Fury X CF.

No... 2xfury x's is a bad idea crossfire is unstable and very power hungry. To understand the fury x has a min of 750W or greater Imagine for Crossfire... in some benches they are better (dx12) cause its coded different but you will have to wait for dx12 real games and driver updates too see who's better
