Hi all, I have historically built a number of systems over the last 30 or so years but I seem to have outdone myself with my last build and haven't needed a new one for going on 12 or so years now. Looking for some feedback on this build I am putting together. Main purpose is gaming, and I want it to be able to support VR. It doesn't need to be a monster but I would like to get a good life span out of it so I have built with some future expansion options or updates down the road if needed. I am mostly looking for some feedback on the video card selection as well as the case choice and cooler. Case org has always been a bit of a weak point for me, and modern heat syncs are ALOT larger then my previous build. But please feel free to drop any other thoughts you may have.

A few cliff notes:
  1. I have historically been an NVidia man, They have always been good to me, also I do work with CUDA for my job once in a while so I like to option to be able to play on my home machine. That said I am also 15 years out of date on consumer graphic tech so I am open to other options if the tides have turned recently.
  2. I would like to avoid a watercolor system, I really don't want to muck with it, if I can't get sufficient cooling with an air system I would prefer to downgrade the CPU.
  3. Not planning to overclock
  4. Don't really care about SLI unless its somehow works out to a better deal.
  5. Thanks for the help!!

That build looks mostly fine to me, except:
1)That cooler is too small. It'd be adequate for an 11400...
Noctua NH-D15S, Scythe FUMA 2, and Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT, are a few examples of more adequate, non-AIO solutions.

2)Have the OS on a separate SSD from the library. 250-500GB is enough.

3)That psu is good, but I'm not sure whether it's enough for the higher tier RTX 30 cards if you were planning to put one in. Someone else may be able to clarify further.
